Is it possible that exists file without correct tag can be rescanned?
If the file have no correct tag then add the correct tag without upload file again.

You can manually apply the tag via the web UI, if that is okay for you.
Cron job will not be an option, but maybe a console command could be added.

Any progress with console command?

I think this would be an extremely helpful feature. Even a button under a directory's details, or inside settings would be great.

Edit:
Also potentially a feature for removing all tags, but that's not high priority.

Do I understand this correctly, that you want to have this for files, which you uploaded to the data directory and then added to nextcloud via occ files:scan?

For me it would be cool to also have this for files, which have been uploaded before the automatic tagging rules were in effect.

This would enable me to tag files automatically that are already on my server.

No need scan, just wants some way to apply tag to file from command line.

It would be really great to be able set a protected tag to an existing directory and it's files using console command. This could be useful for example to be GDPR compliant...

Or when I do multiple select files apply Tag changes to them. Currently I can only copy/move or delete selected files.

it would be great to have a commandline option to assign tags to specific files. When i get files on my local external storage (SMB or onedrive) they get not assigned any tag automatically.
