The validation that "zoom" appears only in a top level curve misses the case where curves are nested. For example, the following is accepted:

["interpolate", ["linear"], ["zoom"], 0, ["interpolate", ["linear"], ["zoom"], 0, 1, 1, 1], 1, 1]
