I've been developing editor plugins for a little while now and was wondering if there was a way to make the root of my addon a scene rather than just a GDScript file that extends EditorPlugin. There are some child nodes I'd like to add to my plugin and at the moment I have to put them in a separate scene file and preload() them.
Maybe this is already possible, but I cannot find any docs about it. If not, it would be useful if the plugin.cfg could reference a .tscn file as well as a .gd file.
