[CLOSED] Brackets Helper not responding in Activity Monitor #6192
Comments
Comment by JeffryBooher I see 2 helper processes but how do I know which one isn't responding? |
Comment by dangoor Activity Monitor shows the process name in red and says "(Not Responding)" after the name. |
Comment by JeffryBooher Not for me it doesn't |
Comment by dangoor Interesting. Are you on 10.9? Someone on IRC reported this issue to me this morning and I noticed that it was happening on my system as well. |
Comment by njx I don't think it happens all the time - it's intermittent. |
Comment by JeffryBooher 10.8.4. I have a 10.9 partition i can try it with. |
Comment by peterflynn I think this is a dupe of #5794 |

Comment by njx Ah, yes forgot we already had a bug. If they found a workaround in Chrome, it might just get fixed with a future CEF. |
Comment by JGSolutions I still get this issue and using over 250megs of system resources. |

Originally opened as adobe/brackets#6825
On Mac OS 10.9, Activity Monitor is showing a "Brackets Helper" process that is "not responding". Brackets is running fine, however, and there is another Brackets Helper process that appears to be fine.
Marking this "low priority" because Brackets is working, but it may be worth figuring out what the mysterious other process is.
