Originally opened as adobe/brackets#6374

Hello,
In a mapping project I have a lot of tiles images (approx. 13,000 files) and I edit this project on a network drive. Brackets becomes very slow (no crash) to open and when I edit my main js file (which is also quite large ~ 56Ko).
Is there a way to completely ignore directory? As with the ".jscodehints" but for everything.
Tested with no extension, Brackets 35, Win7 x64.

@cub There's an experimental extension (i.e. not yet on Brackets Extension Registry) located at https://github.com/gruehle/exclude-folders that you may be able to adapt for your needs.

There's a Trello card for configurable ignores. You can vote for that to help us know that people are interested (though we actually know people want that already ;)
