Honeycomb instrumentation breaks using Twirp

Hi!

I've hit an incompatibility between Twirp and the Ruby client for Honeycomb (https://www.honeycomb.io).

The team at Honeycomb have resolved it by ignoring the particular case that I have hit, but I'm concerned that it could be an unusual implementation inside Twirp.
