Using apache openidc 2.4 with okta

I am triyng to use this module with okta. I 'd like to know if there is a way to configure so that the module itself retrieves a code and then exchanges the code by itself an or do i write the backend code doing that, and also when i come back to the protected resource the second time how do i tell the plugin this time it's ok you can allow and not start a loop, like a header or idToken or something for example it seems some plugins set a specific cookie that will be checked. I found this: #683.
